DAY 6 – THE WHERE OF PRAYER I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. (Psalm 18:3 NAS) Yesterday I asked you: How do you pray? Today I want to ask you: Where do you pray? If you read more than the first three verses of Psalm 18, you will see David is in the midst of a battle, but how does he begin his prayer? He begins with praise. If we learn nothing other than the power of praise, then we have learned a great deal and need to put it into practice. Praising the Lord—wherever you are—whether at worship or in a battle, is always appropriate and necessary. As I’ve said before, this is living life in context, living life before Him. Regardless of your circumstance, condition, or need, you must first and always praise the Lord. Let your prayers begin with praise, irrespective of what kind of prayers they are. It could be a prayer for healing, forgiveness, deliverance, salvation or wisdom. Whatever your prayer, begin with praise. When you come before Him, that circumstance, condition, or need has been brought into His Presence and maybe… it won’t seem so big. Read Psalm 18:4-6
