DEADLINE EXTENDED TO THIS WEDNESDAY, MAY 21st! Dear DeVry Students: Recently the U.S. Department of Education released a proposed Gainful Employment rule for public comment. In its current form, the proposal could prohibit you from accessing federal student loans for academic programs that fail the proposed rules eligibility criteria. We know many of our students rely on these loans to support their education and career goals. Your opinion matters. By writing to the Department of Education you can provide government officials with a personal account of why your career-oriented education is the right choice for you. Whether its smaller class sizes, flexible and year-round scheduling, online and onsite delivery options, faculty with both strong academic credentials and ties with industry or other considerations, its never been more important for the government and elected officials to hear about it. More information can be found at bit.ly/1j2jaLN From there, you can also make your voice heard by sending your comments to the US Department of Education and your elected officials. You can submit your letter directly through the Student Action Center (SAC) web page or access the SAC at a letter writing station set up at your campus over the next four weeks. Copies of your comments will also be distributed to your federal and possibly state and municipal elected officials.
