DEEPAVALI CHEER – The festival of lights brings in joy in many a household while at the same time we have many in hospitals undergoing treatment and many need blood/single donor platelet donors which only human beings can help by donating in time of need. LionsBloodLine.Com is happy to have been help to a few to be hopefully home for Deepavali with cheer and joy as under at Bangalore: 1. 9 Year old at Narayana Hrudalaya needed the rare AB- blood for his surgery and we had Dhamu SB donate his AB- for the child on 20th Oct following which surgey was done and the parents of the child joyfully nformed Dhamu that the child is progressing well as per treating doctors. Dhamu wrote “ I saw he real happiness on his parents face after the operation was informed as success. No words to write about it. Our blood Donatons played important roles to their happiness” 2. Frantic calls were received on night of 20th Oct that Shwetha at Maniplal Hospital who was O- needed any negative group sdp donor. Based on our flashes, Nischal Rao B- volunteered to donate and the family took his details and kept on standby to contact if needed, 3. Muralidhar O- went all the way from KR Puram to BGS Global, Kengeri and donated his O- single donor platelets for Nischit Shetty and as more was felt mabe needed, based on our flash Si Sathish KV and Phanindra both O- offered to donate, if further needed. Feedback got from Muralidhar is that his platelet count increased to 40,000 and as of 22nd, more sdp was not needed. 4. Relatives of 16 year old Prateek at Apollo Hospital, Jaynagar contacted us on night of 22nd Oct as they were in need of O+ sdp donors for the boy at Apollo, Bannerghatta Road where the apherasis was to be done. Half a dozen persons from their side went to donate not knowing the conditions for sdp donations. Bhupendhirum O+ had just that morning called to say he was available preferably for sdp knowing the difficulty in getting donors for that and hence his details were shared. By then one of the donors who had gone qualified and Bhupendhirum kept on standy. Joe who called for this case said this morning that only now they understood the difficulties and I have requested him to ask the family members to help enrol eligible persons as blood donors/sdp donors now that they know the difficulty. 5. Today morning 23rd Oct, there was a request for B+ sdp/blood for patient Venkatesh at Ramaiah Hospital. On our flash we had Sreekanta ES volunteering if needed, This info was passed on and the patient’s brother will contact him if further needed as they managed 2 units yesterday from their relatives and friends Many more requests did come in/keep coming. We are able to help a few. Many more can be helped with more persons voluntarily donating blood/enrolling with us so that such willing donors can be contacted directly when in need.
