DID YOU KNOW... ...that Sacred Heart does an annual Catholic summer mission trip every year? ....we go to various states and spend a week helping a community in need through painting, building, sometimes working with children? ...next summer will be our 10th year? ...you don’t need experience to attend a mission trip! ...Catholic Heart Workcamp (CHWC) opens up its registrations for 2015 Mission Trip locations on August 15th— ...WE ARE GOING TO PUT IN FOR CHARLESTON, SC (July 18-25, 2015) ...WE NEED TO RESERVE OUR SPOTS RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE CAMPS FILL UP VERY QUICKLY!! ...An $85 DEPOSIT IS NOW NEEDED from anyone wishing to attend. ...Fundraisers (throughout the year) can help you earn funds for the trip. We are HOPING to actually try to get a bus to be our transportation for next years trip but that means having more people in order to make it affordable. I’m hoping that previous MissionTrippers will be attending again but we always invite and welcome newcomers too—we want to share this wonderful experience! For your info., Charleston, SC worksites are construction and painting revitalization; also building wheelchair ramps; and work at senior centers and food bank. If you want more information, we will be happy to come to your house or invite you to an informal open house to learn about the Mission Trip, show the DVD and answer any questions, so let us know. The Core Family (Mr. Core is one of our chaperones) is hosting an informal gathering at their house THIS SATURDAY evening (Aug. 9th) FOR YOU (and parents, too) to come and hear about the mission trip experience. Its just a way to get answers to questions you might have.
