DR. BOBS DAILY MY DAY/MY WIFES DAY Heres my day yesterday: Wake up at 6:20 to make homemade scones. Make homemade scones for Joshuas breakfast. Shower, get dressed, give Joshua scones and fruit. Drive Joshua to school. Come back home and put more scones in the oven. Make my wife a cappuccino. Make one for me too. Cut strawberries in a fancy twirly pattern. Set up breakfast. Go wake up my wife, who got to sleep in. Enjoy nice quiet breakfast together. Go to work. Work until 2:30. Drive to Joshuas school to coach his Junior High flag football team. Home with Joshua by 5:00. Make dinner: defrost fish. Cut squash. Make homemade bruschetta. Toss squash in oil, salt, pepper and put in oven. Get fish ready to bake. Put thinly sliced gluten-free bread in toaster oven for bruschetta. Open wine. Think about pouring a glass, but decide to wait until dinner. Take squash out of oven and put in fish. Make homemade tarter sauce. Take bread out of oven. Forgot to put cheese on bread. Put cheese on bread and back into oven. Think, Should I make a salad too? Naw, this is enough food. Make a homemade pepper, cucumber, mango and avocado with lemon juice chutney to top the fish. Take out cheesy bread. Call Joshua to set table. Think to myself: OMG. My wife actually does ALL this EVERYDAY? Pour the wine. Enjoy a nice dinner with my wife and Joshua. Take Joshua to Karate. Come home and make homemade peanut butter mousse. Spread mousse over bottom layer of chocolate cake I baked yesterday. Put on top layer of cake. Make homemade chocolate peanut butter ganache and spread over top of cake. Go pick up Joshua from Karate. Come home and enjoy dessert together. Put Joshua to bed. Too tired to do anything else. HERES MY WIFES DAY YESTERDAY Sleep in. Enjoy scones and cappuccino. Kiss husband goodbye as he goes to work. Read newspaper. Go to spa for massage. Relax in Spa for a few hours. Come home. Relax for a few hours. Greet husband and child - home from football practice. Relax. Eat a very nice dinner. Homemade chutney over fish? My favorite! Relax some more. Wow, cake too? Delicious. Who knew my husband could make such a good gluten-free chocolate peanut butter mousse ganache-topped cake? Relax. Ahh, go to bed. The last thing my wife said before we drifted off to sleep: WHY is my birthday only once a year?!?!? Happy Birthday Cheryl Bob
