DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND TO KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT THE MCA IS ABOUT, HERE ARE: 10 Things to Know about Malamulele Community Association (MCA) 1. MCA is community based organization that represent residents of Malamulele Town and its surrounding villages (former Levhuvhu – Shingwezi TLC). The MCA was officially formed on the 19 April 2014. 2. The formation of MCA was informed by the socioeconomic sufferings of the people of Malamulele. After 20 years of democracy, service delivery is pathetic for the community of Malamulele. 3. The primary objective of the MCA is to promote and advance the socioeconomic and cultural interests of the Malamulele community. It is also to ensure the delivery of basic services to the people of Malamulele. 4. The MCA is a Not for Profit Organization (140 – 167 NPO) registered with the Department of Social Development in 2014. 5. The MCA is also registered with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to contest the 2016 local elections in the Vhembe District Municipality, with a specific interest in theThulamela Local Municipality. 6. MCA supports and advocates the establishment of a Greater Malamulele Municipality with Malamulele as the political, administrative and commercial center. 7. The MCA respects our Traditional Leaders and will ensure that their interests are advanced and that they play a meaningful role in the sustainable development of the Malamulele community. The MCA will also promote, preserve and enhance the cultural and heritage fabric of the Malamulele community and the pursuit of unity and endless respect. 8. The creation of jobs for the people of Malamulele through appropriate, relevant and inclusive Local Economic Development (LED) initiatives is a priority of the MCA. 9. The MCA will ensure that basic services such as water, sanitation, education, and waste management are provided without fail to the households in Malamulele. 10.
