Dad out of surgery. We will not see him for another hour and half. The tumor was so close to the part of the brain that controls his arm and leg area, so if we waited a week or two, dad would have definitely lost use of his left arm and left leg. We will know better tomorrow if there was any damage to that part of his motor function from the surgery. They got most of the tumor. There was a small part attached to an artery that they couldnt get without great risk of stroke or death. Though the official biopsy report will come in two weeks, the doctor thinks we will have to follow up with radiation for the last bit. He thinks the cancer didnt spread from elsewhere in the body and originated in the brain. Dad will be in the ICU for the night. Continued prayers requested and appreciated.
