Dad story: When dad went to work (Marine Architect for the Navy) - TopicsExpress

Dad story: When dad went to work (Marine Architect for the Navy) he would wear black or brown wing-tips that sounded like they weighed five pounds each, nondescript slacks, almost always a herring-bone jacket. His work shirts we perpetually stained with ink (resulting in a full on plastic pocket liner) and the front pocket was always crammed with multiple US Navy pens, Marlboros or Winstons -later sugar-free mints, and random pieces of folded paper. When off duty he is the worst dresser. Sorry dad. His loved ones are always berating him for this. The striped, short-sleeve shirt in the picture above probably had the collar cut off it at some point. Not nice and neat. Jagged edges and all. We eventually convinced him that there were in fact shirts in the world that did not have collars, they just came that way out of the package. Love you pops!
