Daily Meditation - August 12, 2014 - Abraham was strong in faith. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. – Romans 4:20-21 Today’s verse says Abraham was strong in faith. Lord is having desire to reveal his power among his children. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.(2Chro 16:9) but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Here word of God says 4 things. 1. It reveals God is powerful in fulfilling the promise. 2. Abraham believes in the power of God. 3. He gives glory to God and 4. Abraham become strong in faith. The Lord God you are worshiping is mighty God. The Lord who created heaven and the earth and stars and everything is a mighty God. There is no other power greater than Him in this world. How many of you feel his mighty power in your life. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.(Ps 24:7-8) Lord revealed Him to Abraham as Almighty God. And when Abram was ninety nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.(Gen 17:1-2) Lord promises Abraham that he will make him father of the nation. Abram believes in the promise of God and he trust in the Lord. How Abraham received the power from God? Abraham was absolutely confident that God would do what he promised. Abraham empowered by faith, giving glory to God. What are all the promises that Lord given you? Just bring the promise of God in your mind. What you are expecting from God? Bring that in your mind. Believe that Lord had performed his promise and give praise to God. Whatever the things Lord promised you that He fulfill, with faith confess that mighty Lord will do it for you. Heaven and earth may disappear but the promise Lord given you will never vanish. He will surely make you the head and not the tail. When you fully trust in him and believe in him you will receive the power of God. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego trusted in the power of God. They believe the power of God that God is able to deliver them from the burning fiery furnace. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.(Daniel 3:17) As they believed in the power of God, the power of God manifest in their life. When the king put them in the burning fiery furnace, Lord revealed His power and he also dwelt with them in the burning fiery furnace. They have no harm. The same Lord is having desire to bless you with his power. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.(Isa 43:2) Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. – Isaiah 40:26 - Rev.
