Daily Prayer Break: Saturday, May 24, 2014 We invite you to take 3 minutes in prayer with us. Pause, Read, Reflect… Pause: Take a moment to center yourself. Focus on your breath. As you breathe, call to mind the challenges of the past week -- great or small. Think of the ones you overcame. Recognize God’s hand in the everyday. Read: Our Gospel today: JN 15:18-21 Jesus said to his disciples: “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you. Remember the word I spoke to you, ‘No slave is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. And they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me.” Reflect: 1) What is God speaking to me about through this Gospel? 2) What does it mean to me to be called from the world? Final prayer: Lord my God, thank you for calling me from the world into Your life. -Amen. Even online, we are a community -- a family -- united through prayer.
