Daily Word 06-10-2013 WE ARE HEAVENLY CITIZENS...... (Ephesians 1:3-5) 3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. 4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do and it gave him great pleasure. Every nation has its own citizens, some nations are big and others are small. The size mostly doesn’t matter, it is the military power and the economic strength that determines the level of influence and exploit that the nations have. For example, United Kingdom is a small island compared to many other countries. But the influence and the dominion that it has is amazing. Australia one of the biggest nations in the world and many other reputable nations are still indirectly influenced by U.K. When the country is stable and prosperous, the citizens are respected by other nations and in most cases given preferential treatment wherever they go. When you gave your life to Jesus, you were granted new citizenship by a superior kingdom.”Though you are in this world you are not of this world....” you are “heavenian” so to say. Your new identity is far much superior, you have the power to command the supernatural......You are not an ordinary person; you have great authority if only you can take your position. When you read Ephesians 2:4-6 you will have more insight on who you are. 4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. The word seated in Greek language is “kathizo” which can be interpreted as taking a place of a Judge(Sit of a judge). So whichever verdict you will pass concerning any issue, that will be the settlement without any chance of appeal. Mathew 18:18 whatever you declare improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you declare proper and lawful on earth, must be what is already permitted in heaven. Arise today with holy anger and take back what the devil has stolen from you, don’t be intimidated heaven is backing you up. FURTHER STUDY: Ephesians 1:1-18, Colossians 2:12-15 WORD CONFESSION: Because of his great love that he has for me, God who is rich in mercy, made me alive with Christ even though I was dead in trespasses and sin. He has raised me up and seated me together with Jesus in the heavenly realms, so that from now on until eternity, he can show me the incomparable riches of his grace.
