Dallas, TX- This topic has been bounced all around the league this week, and it certainly has picked up steam following the Cowboys 42-7 fleecing of the Indianapolis Colts. That topic is of course related to a certain polarizing quarterback winning the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award. When you dive deeper into the subject, it’s hard to argue against it. Tony Romo has clearly been at his best not only this December but practically all season long. Of course most of Romo’s career has been mired with criticism, some warranted and some completely ridiculous. Either way, his 2014 story of fighting through pain and willing this team to victories cannot be ignored nor can they be cheapened with some idiotic meme that has no relevance. Romo has struggled at times this season as has Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers; but has rebounded arguably better than any of those guys. The Cowboys have only lost consecutive games once this season. If you recall, Romo was knocked out of the game against Washington, and didn’t play the following week against Arizona. Of course, Tony Romo isn’t the only reason for the Cowboys 11-4 season, DeMarco Murray and this dominant offensive line have certainly paved the way for his success. However, no player has meant more to their respective team than number nine. To dive into the statistics shows even more proof of how outstanding his season has been. Before we do that, we know week one was horrible, we know that the Redskins blitzed him into the ground, and that the stinker on Thanksgiving had many underlying circumstances. The body of work though is too hard to ignore
