SoccerAid Robbie Williams’ Soccer Aid is to return this summer, and now the full England team line up, and some of The Rest Of The World team has been revealed! Robbie himself will captain the England team, standing alongside Olly Murs, John Bishop Homeland star Damian Lewis, True Blood’s Stephen Moyer, Paddy McGuiness, Ben Shepherd, and even former Doctor Who Matt Smith. Meanwhile Welsh actor Michael Sheen will captain the Rest Of The World team, which has some pretty big names too including A-Lister James McAvoy, Gordon Ramsey and Westlife singer Nicky Byrne! Discussing the game, which will be hosted by Dermot O’Leary with reporter Kirsty Gallacher and Cat Deeley presenting the backstage show before the main event which is due to take place on 8 June 2014, Entertainmentwise quotes Robbie Williams as saying: “Soccer Aid returns for the fifth time in June and I admit there are scores to settle. “Leading the England team, I will be making sure we defend that trophy against the Rest of the World. There’s never been a better time for us to show our support to UNICEF so please dig deep and buy your tickets now!” Soccer Aid, which was established by Williams in 2006 to raise funds for UNICEF, to help struggling children in developing countries.
