Day 10.... I had to drag Andre out of bed, while he had his shower and made himself look beautiful, I packed all the bags and got ready to check out from our hotel. Another early breakfast then on the bus for a 9am departure for Newcastle, approx 4 hours away. The English country side is beautiful, very green and like Australia huge open spaces, but very cold. We stopped a couple of times to stretch our legs and get a coffee or other drink and eat our packed lunch. Then finally arrived at our hotel around 1pm. The hotel is very nice, unfortunately not all of our rooms where ready, which was a bit of a pain, so we had to sit at receptoon waiting.. It was now time for our trip to see Suntherland vs Liverpool so ack on to the bus, but this time Andre and I did not go, we were just simply too tired. Whilst the others went to the soccer, we finally checked into our room, unpacked our bags and crashed on our beds. I took Andre for a bite to eat and a jumbo tea for me, then back to the room where we both fell asleep for some time... looks like we really needed the rest. Meanwhile, the others had a great time watching the game where Liverpool won and a very vocal crowd. 8pm was dinner time, we all got together and had a very pleasant dinner, had a few laughs and told stories and just watched the boys all having a great time. It is so nice to see the smiles and laughter... they all went up to their rooms and a few of us went to the bar for a drink and some laughter... agreat end to another day. Day 11 is another training session and game, so let the day begin, until tomorrow....
