Day #17 11/17/2014 Lifestyle Adjustment Open the Door: This morning was just like any other start of my morning. I was greeted with the cutest faces I have ever seen. Dewey was especially excited to be up this morning as he was talking about jumping like a pony. I have them trained to lay down around my bed for 15-20 minutes while I ease into my day. I stretch and then start my day with Yoga Nidra, put a note in my gratitude jar and then my feet touch the floor. I make my way to my washroom to brush my teeth and spray my face with TeaTree Water I make. It feels so amazing... I looked outside and I see a very cold rain. This is the first time we have had rain in several weeks. As I open the door from the kitchen, then the screen door, one by one my boys come to the door and turn back around accept for Dewey. He is loving the rain and holding his face up to the sky and catching raindrops on his tongue. I always step out and am sheltered by the eves on my patio. I was enjoying watching him sprint and catching raindrops. As I stood there I was thinking about how I open the doors in my life. Do I look out and turn around because I think it is too uncomfortable or do I walk out and hold my face towards the sky and allow for moments of surprise and enjoyment? I realized I was empowering all the space around me and my life too by opening the door and walking out. As I continued in my minds creativity, I thought about how clean I keep the path from outside to inside and the same goes for all the doors in my home from the inside out. Then I dropped into my body and started to sweep. How am I feeling today, what negativity is on my mind, what about the cobwebs I know are still in the darkness, they are hidden away but I still know they are there. As Dewey continued to play I stood watching the rain and started my sweep of life to clear any negative and chaotic energy that has gone un-checked and stuffed away. I gave them all over to the Natures Element, Rain and let a few dirt piles wash away. Think about how you can do a mind/body/spirit sweep and what changes will it bring to your life. I know when you clear the way, you get rid of a lot of junk, you become more creative, you are accepting to new ideas and you are so much more happy. I invite you to open the door and sweep! Sending strong sturdy brooms and much love, Cindy
