Day 2. I went for breakfast this morning in the café over the road. Suddenly a local man off the street comes in and introduces himself in pretty good English. He tells me he is trying to get a Chevening scholarship to finish his medical degree, which he started in Romania some years before but never completed, in the UK. He then tells me he was born in London in 1965 and that his parents were British. I said in that case so is he and he should try to apply for a British passport but will need his birth certificate and then he can complete his degree as a British student after 3 years of residency if he is not successful getting his scholarship. He then pulls out a partially completed UK passport application form from his bag as well as an application for a birth certificate. I take a quick glance at the form and where it asks for Mothers maiden name he had written Queen Elizabeth 2nd. He then tells me he is the 5th son of the Queen (well we all know Anne is really a horse but I wouldnt have gone that far!), that this was proven from his DNA in a hair sample in Saudi Arabia where he had also met Prince Philip (presumably his father, or.....?!), that he has been told by many that he is so and I am the first not to believe him. I told him to forget finishing his medical degree and to get medical help.
