Day 2: Kathryn Doxey Woodward From the earliest days of Griggs Elementary, Kat and I started our journey of awesomeness with pride. It didnt hurt that her mom was my art teacher. Between our families, weve seen the best of times and the worst of times. When we parted ways for college, I had a feeling shed be one that wouldnt fade away. Her stories from Barton challenged even the most crazy James stories... and when I came out, it was clear that I had not only a friend, but an full ally. To this day, we still get together and live our lives like no time has actually passed. One of my favorite memories of us is going to the Nickel Creek concert in Norfolk and the sky simply FELL OUT. Rain logged and a bit cold, we belted out songs until we had no voice left. So you could see why this song always reminds me of her, because well always be able to light the path for the other:
