Day 25: Down syndrome Awareness Month GOOD FORTUNE We were blessed that Teagan was born without any medical complications. She was 8lbs 2oz and 3 weeks early. Her tiny little heel was like a pincushion because it had been pricked several times to test her blood due to her bilirubin levels not coming down. We were sent home two days after her birth with the promise that we would keep having her levels checked. The levels did not go down and we had to do two days of the Light-blanket. That was fun - waking up a newborn to force feed her while rotating her glo-worm blanket. But that was it! As I have said, we were lucky, we were blessed, we had a new baby girl, a 2-year old girl and a whole lot of visitors. We were surrounded by family and friends. Showered with meals, gifts and well wishes. We could not have been more blessed and we were so appreciative. We had the good fortune of a solid base! Thank you to those who have been with us from the beginning. #THANKFUL #ITTAKESAVILLAGE #GOODFORTUNE
