Day 3: today I did one of my favorites. I reflected on what I like to think of as realizing the awesome ew of the physical world. With my first steps this morninf, I took them very slowly. Feeling the difference between the point at which just the skin on the bottom of my feet made contact with the floor. Then the transition of weight from my skin into the bone as the solid structure of my body supports itself. And then the contract io of the muscles in my feet, legs, etc as they engage to begin relieving pressure frm the bones and gradually leaving mere contact between my skin and the floor which gradually left as I went to take yet another step. This is one of my favorites as it promotes reflection on the small yet awesome things that my body is capable of achieving; making each step a cherished part of the day
