Day 32: (feel free to share) Its been a rough month since losing my job, but bright skies are here. Ive not been offered one position, but two positions at different companies. Both are good companies and now a decision needs to be made. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers... Realize this... I have not been posting about this to seek pity or remorse. I chose to post about my situation as a way to show others my determination and passion as I have not given up. In the past year Ive gone through divorce, gone from a two-income house to a single-income home to a NO income home. Ive struggled financially. I sold my entire camera setup that I worked so hard to get as well as some other things to help make it through the tough times. I used to be embarrassed at my struggles, but Ive learned to be proud of the man they are making me. Guess what, Ill still alive... fighting to reach the goals I have in my life. With that said, not everything is roses right now. As my finances dwindle from losing my job and before I start my new career (I admit the fault was mine for not being financially prepared) Im forced to find the means to pay rent, utilities, and some other bills I have. I do not live a luxurious lifestyle and live quite modestly which Im happy doing. This weekend at Morningstar Marketplace, I will have a LOT of historic York County memorabilia for sale, all purchased by me for my collection. It truly breaks my heart to let a single piece go, but I feel God allowed me to enjoy them and now he will allow me to use them to help my financial situation. One day I hope to find some of the pieces around and add them back to my collection. Im still working on what Im taking but expect a LOT of books, ephemera, advertising, and who knows what else. I would recommend following this post as Ill be adding photos later today or this evening. Im still here. Im still fighting. I havent given up. NOTHING THAT HAS BEEN DONATED TO ME FOR PRESERVING YORK WILL BE INCLUDED.
