Day 95...Day 35 of this journey...This has been a rainy dreary day. Darrell finally got to eat a regular meal at dinner tonight. He got a steak and baked potato and strawberries. He ate almost all of this. I brought him a Frosty from Wendys and he was so full that he could not eat all of it. He had PT with Mandi today...she had him walk the big loop around and then the long hall. He did pretty good...he only had to sit down 3 times. He does not walk slow and he gets out of breath. He needs to slow down. He had OT with Lisa today. She had him on E Stem and then on the bike using his arms. Right after that he had ST with Denise. She is really good with him. She does things that make him use his memory. His throat is well on its way to healing...you can barely see the hole where the Trache was. Bud and Kali and Jaylynn and Kaiden and Braidan and Braylynne came to visit and brought us a Root Beer Float. Braylynne has been wanting to come and see Nana and Papa for a couple of days...she is so funny and makes us laugh. PT is going to check out the house next week to see what all we have to do to get it ready for Darrell to come home. Darrell gets to come home with me for this and I can keep him home till sometime in the afternoon. We cant wait for this!! This place is really good to us. The 2nd shift nurse told me I could start taking showers here when I dont want to go home. That is awesome! They always ask if I need anything. We were really blessed when we got placed here.
