Day One of a two day AC system install here at the Pensacola house. Changing over from a ducted system to a ductless system. I have been sold on these systems every since I used one while doing my sisters house remodel. They use less electricity, there are no ducts to get dirty or to have air loss thru, and each room can be a different temperature. And honestly, I would rather have one small 12 x 30 unit, that is really not noticeable, than 4 AC registers in a rooms ceiling or floor. These systems are great for remodeling since you only need to run a few very small pipes two each unit. And the pipe bundle also includes a communication wire that powers each indoor unit. There are several different types of indoor units that can be chosen for each room or situation. Some of the units can actually have a small duct system off of them to do a bedroom and a bath for example. I used the the Mr. Slim units by Mitsubishi when we built the pool house and am now putting a similar system in the downstairs of the main house. This will allow us to keep the Harpsichords in the music room at the perfect humidity with out changing the settings for the whole house.
