Day out with Daddy yesterday before he heads back to London!! As usual I was stuffing my face!! Just had my annual review/MOT today at royal childrens hospital and it went fantabulously!!! -My weight is above average which they are delighted with. They prefer me to be on chubbier side-some reserve for fighting Infection-thats my excuse and Im Sticking to it!! -Chest X-Ray looks good although my physiotherapist said I sounded a bit crackly but I dont have any symptoms so we wont read to much into that. -X-rays- had X-ray of my hand to check state of my bones. People with CF are more prone to mineral loss in their bones making bones thinner and at higher risk of factures/osteoporosis. Thankfully All is well there to although it would be a bit weird using a walking stick at 15 months so i am well aware that em bones em bones need calcium so will continue to eat everything I am given! -On the subject of calcuim, I have to go on diary free diet for 4-6 weeks as my dietician has had suspicions for a while I might have a slight allergy to diary products. Now that my weight is above average they want me to go cold turkey with the diary products to see if the issues I am having with my gut resolves a little....this is wee buns though on the grand scheme of things.... Just means I will have to have a munch bunch and petit filous party tonight before I go cold turkey as mammy got me a load of them with the shopping yesterday so it would be really rude not to. -Bloods-Got a multitude of bloods done but was so brave and I even sat still so they could get it on second attempt. Apart from hobbling around with a numb foot when mammy and daddy were engrossed in learning new physio techniques and completely forgot to remove my magic cream off after 30 mins, the blood situation went smoothly this time thankfully! -Cough Swab- If todays is clear the good news is we can drop the tobramycin nebs but have to stay on colomycin nebs untill pseduo free for two years. But sure thats very minor and if it keeps my lungs in good shape then who cares how long Im on it for!! -A big phewwww when they said no liver ultrasound untill Im 2 so was one less thing to Have to stand still for-Very difficult when your entering the terrible twos and are as active as me!!! Mum and Dad will hear more about my blood results etc soon. And as my consultant says: 2013: 2 admissions 2014: 2 admissions 2015: let it be 0 admissions and 0 Pseudo or any other bugs. Let the good times Roll!
