Day3 part 2 . Off we have gone from the Musgrave roadhouse. past the airstrip which is the only think open on any of these properties for the whole of the wet season. Time is getting on so we have to drive at over the odds to get to PP.The road opens up to this ribbon of red dust. The sign says . Slow beware of dust holes.Which are big holes in the middle of the road full of talc like dust. U hit them uyou go straigh down them.Its the middle of nowhere and we are the only ones on the road.A great feeling .Sun is getting low when we arrive at the Archer river road house. The crossing is spectacular but the bloke running the place had all the personality of a baked turnip. He was like the Medusa with that many heads to make sure no one nicked from the shop..Piccanny Plains is 60 Ks up the road. This is now serious country.PP is half a million acres managed by our mates .Sal and Graham. (big backyard). Sal gives us a heads up and we go cross country on a very small track to the gates to dodge 40ks of living inside Linda Lovelaces vibrator.Its another 15ks to the homestead.In we go and a re met with great revelry By the gang. Graham, Sal , Peg and the pups. and MANFRED. We get on the drink and as I go for a leak Say says take a torch . Theres King Browns ,Taipans,Death adders, Browns and in fact anything that can kill you is right here. I trip over a big black bit of tubing and shit myself then a snake slithers across my path. Oh thats just a shingle back.They eat Cane toads .We like them.Off to our very groovy digs and lights out with Julie-Ann Glur.
