DeAndre has asked me to share my story. I dont remember the exact date that me and a group of friends decided to go there. But I want to say it was sometime last year. We love the idea of Barcadia, so we thought the idea of Kung Fu Saloon would be awesome, because we are Asian! lol. I was wearing a short sleeve jean button up with black slim fit jeans and red vans and a hat. The hat wasnt even a sports hat it was just a plain solid colored hat with a bill. I was denied entry because of this and remember seeing people walk in with similar attire. Because lets face it, most people in Dallas shop at Urban Outfitters. I went back to my car took off my hat and even changed my shoes because they were too red. I returned to the door, the door guy looked me up and down and muttered Im just not going to let you in. I just looked at him in amazement. They let the girls that were with us in, but not us males. At the time, I felt maybe they were just trying to keep the male ratio down. But I asI thought about the situation throughout the rest of the night, I realized no men of color were getting in. I havent been back ever since.
