Dear All, We had a fantastic season last year, with good - TopicsExpress

Dear All, We had a fantastic season last year, with good attendance at Wednesday, Sunday and S&C sessions. However, numbers of players at sessions this season are dwindling. So much so, that we are at, or below the necessary numbers needed to run many of our sessions, – despite having approximately 20 players on our books. To be clear, if this happens consistently then these sessions will stop and may not restart. With the first Super Series only weeks away, I challenge all of you to make training a priority and to make as many sessions as possible. This will not just benefit you, but will also benefit your teammates, who rely on your attendance to make these sessions. Sessions have been timetabled (with the exception of Monday) to accommodate people who work full time. Several players, with all level of function, manage to attend the Wednesday session and then get off to work for a 09:00 start. The 19:00 starting time of the S&C sessions have been chosen specifically to accommodate people who need to travel back from work in the evenings. Our coaches, volunteers and students are working to design functional and enjoyable sessions. To do this they need to know in advance who will be attending each session. As a result I will be asking ALL players to notify coaches EACH week as to whether they are able to attend, and if not, and an explanation as to why. Please make sure you email the relevant coach by 17:00 the day prior to the session: • Sunday / Monday - Gary Banks: [email protected] • Wednesday - Adrian Davies: [email protected] • S&C - Jamie Perryman: [email protected] Players who fail to notify their coaches will be contacted by the committee to ascertain why. This is not intended to punish players, it is a matter of practicality and courtesy to our coaches. It is also a challenge to ourselves as players to question why we are unable to attend a session and whether we as a player group, the coaches or the club can do anything to help out. I hope to see as many as possible at training in the coming weeks. Kind Regards, Richard
