Dear Bloggers – The Motley Fool Blog Network has made - TopicsExpress

Dear Bloggers – The Motley Fool Blog Network has made several changes to make you love your time with us even more. Top of the list, we’ve successfully integrated with Elance, which allows us to pay our contributors two business days after a post is syndicated. Contributors now automatically get their accounts credited on a rolling basis, and they can get their money using the payment method that works best for them (PayPal, direct deposit, a bag of nickels, whatever). We’re also proud to announce that we have promoted 33 of our bloggers into writing contracts for Fool or in-house jobs. More than ever, the Blog Network has become the pipeline for the Fool to identify and develop writers and analysts. Our senior analyst for Fool Canada, a top writer for Fool Singapore, the world-famous Blintern, and many of our most successful writers at Fool all got their start in the Blog Network. We’re also excited to report that each post is getting more readers than ever. While that means our traffic acquisition costs have spiked significantly, that’s our problem. We are keeping our contributor payments the same -- $50 per syndicated post, $100 for those who have established a consistent level of awesomeness with us. And we still have our referral program in place – if you send us a new blogger, you get $100 once they have five posts syndicated, $500 if one (or more) of those is an Editor’s Choice. Additionally, we recently upgraded our content management system for easier posting, we have more opportunities for our top bloggers (10 are now reviewing the content of other bloggers), we launched a series of instructional videos to provide guidance on analysis and writing, and we’re getting to all posts faster than ever. And things are just getting rolling. If you’re one of the thousands of contributors already working with us, thank you for providing clear, clean, compelling content that helps our readers invest better. If you’ve drifted away, now’s a great time to come back. And if you’re interested in joining us, shoot an email to blog@fool and we’ll give you all the information you need to get started. Fool on!
