Dear Destroyers, Turns out Tony Abbott was right. About one - TopicsExpress

Dear Destroyers, Turns out Tony Abbott was right. About one thing anyway. Women do take their household budgets very seriously. It turns out most women oppose the Governments proposed increase in the goods and services tax (GST) which the Minister for Women thinks is a great idea! In fact, some of his colleagues think the tax should also be on fresh food. Imagine what that would do to your household bills. Yes, 52 per cent of women oppose increasing the tax. The Minister for Women told Samantha Maiden of the Sunday Telegraph that he wanted to reassure voters any change to GST would only happen during this Governments second term(!). It was very hard for us to get excited over the $16 rebate we received in our power bills because of the repeal of the carbon price. Imagine the hit to the household budgets if there was an increase in the GST. Should he be hitting Australian households yet again (and by his analysis, hurting women) or should he shift his sights to the huge corporations who manage to get away with paying minimal (if any) tax? Destroyers, whats a good way (now be polite!) to describe the Minister for Womens sneaky plan to devastate household budgets?
