Dear Dr. King, It saddens me to say, that I am often afraid, that - TopicsExpress

Dear Dr. King, It saddens me to say, that I am often afraid, that the Dream you once conveyed to our great nation of the United States of America, in 1963 seems to be more distant then on that very day. I am both ashamed and saddened to tell you with the racial violence and prejudice we are not only experiencing in our beloved nation, has seemed to become a global epidemic. Often it seems we, as a people, have not only failed you but ourselves. Yourself and others before you and even those after you have lost your lives, all to short, to give us the right to integrate yet we still segregate ourselves. The right to grow as one community, as one united race, the human race; yet we are more fragmented then ever. Dr King on this day I send to you my deepest regrets and apologies that we as a people have not served your lifes work better. That your wife lost a husband, your children lost a father and our nation lost a leader only to find in our present day all to often it feels in vain. But Dr King this I promise you; I promise as long as I posses a voice to speak, eyes to see and air to breathe I will do my utmost best to not let the darkness take over and to continue to spread a voice of tolerance and equal human rights for all people. Maybe one day, in all nations on Gods green earth we will have freedom of hate, oppression poverty and prejudice. #freedom #DrMartinLutherKingJr #USA #peace #love #equality #colorblind m.youtube/watch?v=smEqnnklfYs
