Dear Filmmakers of Pakistan, Just a quick question...now that we are making movies, are all of them gonna be about terrorists and war and intelligence agencies and spies? Also most trailers Im seeing for movies that are looking pretty awesome, are all stories about mostly men with women just playing supporting roles if really any. We are a new industry, wouldnt it be nice to get it right from the beginning and start out balanced? Where are some good Woman-centric films? We complain that our women go to India and dont do roles that are representative of what our actresses should be doing so why arent we making such films and creating opportunities here?? If we are please inform me, maybe I missed something. Also as an active member of the actor community, why arent we hearing of auditions or films being made...Most of us just find out something is coming out or already made. Are we already getting cliquish and forming little clans and hiring and casting our best friends...are we doing what we have done to all our entertainment related industries? An insecure industry wont get anywhere, its in its infancy...i think right now is the time to see where everyone is going and ensure its longevity with good intentioned quality work and not just turn it into a Special Members Only club....Yes I said it.
