Dear Friends, Close to 40 members of Team Making a Difference by Being the Difference (MAD) were in action today at Neshvilla. There was no hired artist. No veteran painter. Our own pocket money for the paints and look at what has been created. :) Special Thanks to Anika for helping Shardul coordinate this activity. To Manvenddra and Mukul for helping arrange everything in two days time. To Karman for being instrumental in conceptualizing the paintings and to Arushi, Prakshi, Ritesh, Saumya from DIT for being so creative for social service. Thanks goes out also to the 20 member team from New Delhi Institute of Management who are here in Doon to study our work, who also participated in the activity. There were students from Graphic Era and Doon University also, to whom we render our heart-felt thanks. The local support we got from the residents made things easy. Buckets, water came from them. The Nagar Nigam of Dehradun however is an absolute shame. Even on todays occasion, the Mukhya Nagar Swasthya Adhikari ignored a dozen phonecalls, watsapp, text messages and did not send the vehicle for waste collection on time. Due to local support, appropriate phonecalls were made and the collected waste disposed. Lets pledge not to reduce cleanliness only to symbolism and to continue with the tirade. Pics: Achal, Manav.
