Dear Friends I hope you are finding some refreshment in the dog days of summer! Perhaps it is time for a deep sigh: “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.” Romans 8:26 Think of that – a sigh is the Spirit praying for you – Vacation Bible School is well underway! Join us one or more nights for the rest of this week! Dinner is at 5:30 pm and program starts about 6:15. All are welcome! Our offering this week supports our Mission Project: Habitat for Humanity. As we are learning to imagine and build with God, our gifts will support God’s work of building homes in our communities. If you would like to support our project, please feel free to give your gifts any Sunday of this summer. Outdoor Worship, Pool Party and All Church Picnic Sunday, July 27, 2014 • 9:00 am worship Bring your own lawn chair for worship at the Rollins Park Gazebo! Our worship will be a celebration of our Vacation Bible School week, with a short message from Pastor Virg: Imagine and Build with God. Our nursery care will be provided at the playground during the worship. 10:00 – 12:00 noon pool party: Swim with lifeguard supervision at the Rollins Park Pool, or sit in the shade and watch the swimmers! Bring your own lawn chair. 12:00 noon picnic: bring your own picnic lunch and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, the fellowship of friends. Picnic will be near the parking lot off Bow Street. Come for one part or for all! Friends are welcome! In case of inclement weather, worship will be at Bow Mills, and pool party and picnic will be rescheduled. May God’s peace and blessing be yours.
