Dear Friends, Last Sunday afternoon, I had a wonderful surprise. My friend Leonardo Aaron Firpo Breeze visited us and as usual, he arrived with a gift,...a large piece of wood of a lovely bloom I had lost ending 2007 (Nathan Charles). THANK YOU SO MUCH Aaron! I really appreciate it as I told you I hope you can spend some time in late September here and take all the wood you like from my plants. Nathan Charles is a variety bred by August Miller in Hawaii USA with unknown parents. Size usually 20 cm, but it can reach 21 cm if well fed. It used to set seeds quite easily for me in our climate, and I remember I have given away lot of seeds from the cross Nathan Charles x Big Tango, and also crossed with Blushing Romance. As usual Leonardo and I spent many hours talking about the many topics we both like a lot, details about some varieties, about some plants still grown in Uruguay, etc. And as we usually are so enthusiastic exchanging ideas about our most loved plants, we forget about time and our wifes must remind us about it. Thank you again Aarón. I include here one of the pics of Nathan Charles taken in 2007 when I still grew it here. As I told you, when one has seen a bloom personally and grown it, I never forget it. So this photo confirms what I told you... The large piece of wood you gave me as a present is from Nathan Charles. THANK YOU! — with Jorge Luis Vega Caballero, Diego Domínguez, Kelly Blevins and 47 others.
