Dear Friends and Volunteers. I hope that you will have had a wonderful 2014-15 holiday time with your families. I want to wish you a Happy New Year and hope 2015 is a year of prosperity, joy and love for you and your families! In Tanzania , The Olive Branch continues to expand its offering of early childhood programs in remote, rural areas of the country. It is so exciting to see and hear how much has been accomplished in these villages to support the young children. Although, a significant focus of the charity is on the school development and teacher training, The Olive Branch has a much broader mandate and a wide variety of far-reaching programs. Just check out the website, theolivebranchforchildren.org to get a good sense of the charitys challenges and accomplishments there. Now, with a sense of the magnitude of work being accomplished by the Tanzanian people in cooperation with TOBFC, remember that this is still a small, grass roots organization with over 90 cents of every dollar donated going directly to the people in need. We all exert great, unpaid effort here to help ensure that the vast majority of each dollar donated goes directly into our work in Tanzania. Friday, April 10, 2015 is the date for this years Gala - mark it down in your calendar and be sure you and your friends try to attend! This is the 10th anniversary of the founding of the charity and we are working hard here to relaunch the Gala and give it a fresh, new face. The Gala is the single largest fundraising event for the charity and its success is key to the charitys success! The evening consists of great food, music, dancing and silent auction items. I sincerely hope that you and your friends will be able to attend this very special event and attach a flyer which outlines the details of the 2015 Gala. Let me know as soon as possible whether you will be able to join us, in order that I can arrange a table or two or three or more for your group!
