Dear Harper Government: how can you claim to be pro-life when you abandon Canadas traditional role as peacekeeper, when you eliminate the possibility of being a neutral voice in international conflict - and, by doing so, tarnish Canada with the overwhelming imbalance of death and destruction occurring in the Netanyahu Governments conflict with the Palestinian people in Gaza. My Canada would do its utmost to bring an end to the violence. My Canada would be be both understanding AND critical of ALL parties coming from a desire to create safe spaces and to protect basic human rights. My Canada would take action to de-escalate the rhetoric, not contribute to it. My Canada would commit to the hard work of building peace.
