Dear IFESA Members, - TopicsExpress

Dear IFESA Members, I would like to take this opportunity to reassure all our members that IFESA is continually moving forward from strength to strength despite what many are lead to believe as a recent loss in the Labour Court in our battle for recognition in Waterford. This is only a minor setback towards our goals and we will challenge that recommendation in the High Court and we will not give up until we break the consensus that discriminates against Firefighters here in Ireland. IFESA will continue to challenge the cosy cartels that dictate terms to Firefighters here in Ireland as franchise unions miss sell reassurance’s to the masses, while time and time again engage in deals and agreements behind closed doors without the consent of their own members. I was appalled to hear of certain individuals in the fire service who reveled at the recent Labour Court decision in Waterford and used this as a platform to try and discredit our organisation, while at the same time calling themselves trade union officials. I say this to you now, you know who you are, IFESA will not go away, fade away and most certainly will not be giving up. Our members are committed and our National Committee passionate in pursuit of our goals. We will prevail and we will continue as always to represent our members to the highest possible level. We are a Firefighters Union run by Firefighters for Firefighters. I call on all our members to actively promote our organisation and encourage new members to come on board and not fall by the wayside after our first setback. ‘The road less travelled is always going to be a harder route paved with the unexpected’. IFESA’s National Committee are committed to ensuring the success of our Union and service level to our members. IFESA will be upping its game and the gloves are now off in every sense of the word. ‘I am truly humbled to be a part of an organisation that stands alone for the greater good of the frontline personnel of this nation’. Yours sincerely, ___________________ John Kidd President IFESA
