Dear KaSaMa Teacher, UP NISMED in partnership with Intel® Education, will hold a *free webinar*on lesson study on the 6 th of December 2013, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. UP NISMED promotes the implementation of lesson study in the Philippines through its Collaborative Lesson Research and Development (CLRD) Project which aims to develop localized models of lesson study in the country. The webinar will introduce science and mathematics teachers to lesson study as an approach to continuing professional development of teachers. The session will also discuss the process as well as the benefits of doing lesson study in developing student’s conceptual understanding and in promoting collaborative research among teachers. A discussion on how teachers can participate in the CLRD to start their own lesson study will also be covered in the session. Our resource person for this webinar is the Philippines’ representative to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Lesson Study Project-- Dr. Soledad A. Ulep, who is also the present Director of UP NISMED. Here’s what you need to do: 1.
