Dear Lion Leaders, Our District wide fund raising dinner to support the Typhoon Haiyan Relief on November 24th was a big success. Over 100 Representatives from 22 Lions clubs attended. We received donations totaling $27,748. With our Federal governments matching dollar to dollar donation funds, a total of $55,496 was raised. Donations from the other Lions clubs are still coming in. With this activity we manage to unite the clubs in bond of friendship and fellowship and conducting a meaningful service together. For the people that are doing the Lions work, thank you for showing up. Thank you for supporting the Lions in the Philippines who put up a cook tent in the middle of no where to bring the basic necessities of food, water and clothing. This makes us all proud to be part of the Lions organization to be able to respond to an emergency half way around the world. Please share this message with your members.
