Dear People and allies who are heavily engaged in dialogue with privileged people about their privileges and the systems that support them, This is crucial. Ive exhausted myself and I know many of you have as well. Inevitably though, it is a matter of choice to acknowledge, expose, and combat systems of oppression, and the bulk of the responsibility has to fall (by default) on the greatest beneficiaries of the systems, those with the most privilege. If they are constantly in a state of denial, we can assume they are then in congruence with the status quo and how it operates, and therefore these people are actually supportive of our oppression through their desire to maintain their inflated positions in society. That isnt to say that White allies should stop talking to white folks about racism. In fact: WHITE ALLIES ARE SEVERAL TIMES MORE EFFECTIVE OF CONVINCING OTHER WHITES ABOUT WHITE SUPREMACY THAN PEOPLE OF COLOR ARE. Sad. True. Either way, please, dont stop. That isnt to say you should not be concerned in co opting the movement. Its just that your role grants you far more open ears than ours. Please use that constantly, because things are changing fast and we need it to change faster.. That being said, it is clear that some white folks, men, rich people, straight people, etc. are simply defending this way of life, and see cultural assimilation as the most evolved concept for us. These people are essentially dangerous because, as we have stated, their inflated positions rely on the majority of us being subjugated to oppression and violence. Lines are being drawn and for the most part, as it stands now, its between people who want things to stay the same, and those who seek change, whether drastic or minimal. You already know what time is is.. #ChooseUpSeason
