Dear Praying Friends and Supporters, Greetings to all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! After being in the US for two and a half months, I see how much sacrifice my supporters have to make to give these days with the way things are going there economically. So, I am now even more grateful for your support in our ministry here in Rivadavia Banda Sur, Salta, Argentina, South America!!! I want you all to know that your sacrificial giving and fervent prayers are very much appreciated. If I didn´t get to see you this time (as was the case with various folks) and you wish to have a short video sent to you please let the folks at Fellowship Bible Church know by dropping them a note or calling them to have a video sent to you by regular mail. Fellowship Bible Church, 2710 Ralston Ave, Belmont, CA. 94002 the telephone number 650-591-1322 ask for Lawrence. September was a very busy month at FBC where they do my prayer letters so I put it off a bit to get back and see how things are going. I had several computer glitches with virus in my Word documents while in the US which also complicated getting this out sooner. First of all, praise the Lord for the travels getting around to my supporting churches and back to Salta. It took me six different flights to return to Salta from San Fransicso, CA. But I made it and am so thankful to get back, it is very difficult to leave for a long period of time but I know it was necessary and God still remains on the throne when I am not around. I was encouraged to see how God has brought other folks from other provinces like Buenos Aires and Tucuman to help us out with various projects. I always remember that phrase, ” God’s work done God’s way will never lack God’s provision.” He is so faithful in so many details and He is using your faithful financial and prayer support to supply all we need here. I need to raise $250 dollars more a month as I have already been given a cost of living raise, but I know the Lord will take care of this need, the inflation here is very high. He provided all the funds to get the truck fixed above and beyond what I could think or ask. I will finally get it next week as it was hard to get all the funds for the repairs sent to the field. I was able to meet with the home office staff and FIM and be encouraged and challenged in the ministry that we are having in Rivadavia. I love FIM because the staff there are all ex missionaries and the director was a pastor for many years so they really understand you. I also visited a new church to share my ministry and new financial needs. Thankfully Kameron Jones, the short term missionary from the US was here and has been a great help to my pastor. He will be here till mid-December. He is also working on getting more radio programs for our radio. I think our next project is going to have to be an air conditioner for the room where the radio is to keep the computer and transmitter from overheating as winter is now over. Kameron had been here since I left and I am going to get to finally meet him this week. Pray that God will continue to raise up workers for our area, so much to do and so few people. Right before our trip to the impenetrable Chaco-Salteño my truck broke down pretty bad! But my friends had come from Buenos Aires so we piled more things into their truck and after a time of ministering in a new town called El Galpon where Ruthann and Roly Delgadillo are we went to camp at Rivadavia. You will remember that Ruthann was my roommate at WOL. She is expecting her second child which is going to be a girl. Keep them in your prayers they are also with FIM. They are about 6 hours away from where I am, they live in Roly’s home town called Metan. They just got a car so they are going to be able to go to El Galpon even more often. They are visiting and discipling folks in order to plant a church there. So, my plans of going on the annual trip as we had hoped were not fulfilled but God gave us His plan which was the opportunity to minister to and with them handing out clothes, Bibles and other materials to the new believers there. We had a wonderful camp in Rivadavia, and it wasn’t too cold praise the Lord. I was so excited because some folks sent money for camp scholarships and several of the kids came from our in the country two to three hours away. This is where my heart is and the speaker was excellent very practical. The kids memorized verses and won prizes for knowing them all. Then 5 young people who came to camp were baptized in a local town in September. So exciting to see them take this step of obedience. “When you obey Jesus, He gives you the desire and the strength to do everything He has called you to do, but you have to obey first.” I read this statement on a letter and it really has been so true in my life! And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This [is] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. (Isaiah 30:21) My Prayer: Father, I am so grateful for all Your splendid majesty and mercy! Thank You for dying on the cross and suffering my consequences. Yet more than anything, thank You for conquering death that I may be with you forever and ever! Help me to keep focused on You. May I never look right or left, but continue to faithfully walk on Your holy path. Continue to guide me in all my ways! Thank the Lord for ther new sink and kitchen facility that a group from Bs. As. Came and did for us. I also want to ask for prayer for Nancy Mock, she is raising support to come and help in Rivadavia and hoping to arrive in January. She is a retired widow woman from Florida, and has done some language training in Guatemala. We are entering spring and summer now so the heat will be more intense, pray that we will continue to serve the Lord in spite of the climate and conditions. You can imagine the contrasts I saw in the USA and how I was pretty homesick for the place where God has called me. The moment I got back I got a strange rash but put cream on it and it seems to be going away. Seems like there is always something, I had some high blood pressure at the end of my stay but I think the food in the US is heavier and has more salt. It looks like I am heavier too, so pray I can lose this weight soon. Continue to pray for our little team here, Pastor Hilario, his wife Liliana and their 4 children, Lidia a retired woman who is very faithful and Sonia a girl who came from Jujuy to serve with us and works at the kindergarden in town to support herself. Thank you once again for standing behind us all the way! Cara Capps Is. 26:3-4
