Dear Supporters, Goodwill Gaming will be taking a hiatus for a month or two due to unfortunate circumstances. Goodwill Gaming has received a cease and desist letter for our name, as the word “Goodwill” is trademarked for title use in many countries, including in Canada. Goodwill Industries has been using the trademark since the early 1900s, and has asked us to change our name legally, as well as any of our pages, websites, and branding. Over the hiatus, the team will be taking the time to work on these legal issues, renaming our organization, re-branding, re-incorporating, and taking the time the time to make this organization better than it was before. We have spent almost three years building the trust of the community, and it’s unfortunate that we will be losing our brand and the name recognition we have built. However, we are trying to look at this positively and can ensure you that we will come back better than ever. For the time being, all previously planned events have been canceled, including any general meetings. However, don’t unlike this page. Once we have our new name, and ready for our relaunch, we will just change the name of the page. Thanks everyone for all your support. And we hope to see you all again soon.
