Dear Survivors - the fact that those same women in Tyler Perrys movies who have been abused and victimized also get up and kick major butt and stride off into the sunset, either with a loving man at their side, or with their dignity and self-respect intact, should also be a message to you to stop being doormats and allowing yourselves to be beat down and oppressed in the name of love, loyalty and other excuses. He was depicting things he had seen in his life or heard of, but he never allowed the story to end in that manner - You need to focus on where he takes you in the story. You are so focused on the negative you cant appreciate or glean the lesson of the message. Wake up Survivors - remember the point in one of the movies where Madea tells the character who is being abused by her fiance` about making a big pan of hot grits and having a frying pan in the other? Didnt you get the message from that, and so many other words of wisdom?? Its really sad to see that you dont possess the capacity to read between the lines - Stop blaming Tyler Perry for your situation. If youre in an abusive situation - get up and leave or put him out - like I did - its then a situation where you are taking the matter in your own hands for your own survival.
