Dear VPA Members & Supporters, It is an honor and privilege to serve as your 2014 Virginia Production Alliance (VPA) state-wide President. Together, we are working to build a strong & viable production community across the state of Virginia. To help accomplish this, we need to continue to grow a strong workforce that consists of multiple layers of expertise across all crew positions. One of the most exciting efforts to recently take place on this front is the upcoming Film Industry Training Workshop the Virginia Film Office is helping spearhead. I’d like to take a moment to share the details with you & how you can get involved with this wonderful opportunity. The VPA film crew has put together the following interview with VFO Director, Andy Edmunds. Please take a moment to view the 3 minute teaser HERE: https://youtube/watch?v=VwNUK_8ACtM If you would like to attend this training, please visit the info page at the Virginia Film Office site. Additionally, all VPA members receive $50 off of the two day training (Reg price $125). The training workshop takes place October 4th and 5th at the Workforce Development and Conference Center located at the JSRCC Parham Campus in Richmond, VA. Sincere thanks to each of you for helping the VPA further build our community by ensuring we maintain strong film incentives – it’s our goal to keep production going right here in Virginia & become the future location of many more film and television productions to come. We couldn’t accomplish this without your support, so thank you again! To become a member or sponsor of the VPA, please visit virginiaproductionalliance.org today. Best regards to all, Heather Waters President, Virginia Production Alliance
