Dear friends, I have a very special request this Holiday Season. I was recently contacted by a friend regarding a local family in need. My office is working to find resources and assistance for them; however, assistance is increasingly limited. Steve Pillars, a resident of Royal Oak, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 45. Steve leaves behind his wife, Jennifer, and his children, Ashleigh and Erik. Losing a loved one is always difficult, but it is especially difficult to lose a loved one unexpectedly at a young age. Steve, who worked in sales and operated his own flooring installation business worked very hard to support his family. His loss poses very serious challenges for his wife and children. I’m hoping that our community can come together to support them during this challenging time.
