Dear members and volunteers, Getting in early this week as anyone - TopicsExpress

Dear members and volunteers, Getting in early this week as anyone attending Baragoola this coming Saturday will need to plan for the day. Saturday is the main day for the International Fleet Review and balls Head is one of the prime viewing areas – as a result there will be road closures around the Coal Loader facility that anyone planning on attending will need to take into account. On the other hand, we should be able to see some of the events from on board Baragoola..... Saturday will be a warm one – 27 degrees and light breezes so if you’re planning on doing external work on the ferry make sure you dress appropriately and wear a hat! Tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit are available to all volunteers but if you’re on board for the day please ensure that you bring your lunch with you. This weekend we plan on continuing the work in two areas – stripping and painting of the deckhead on the for’d end of the upper deck and working in the #1 wheelhouse (which is progressing very rapidly thanks to all the hard work going on there at the moment). We’re also looking for someone to take over the work on the upper deck loading doors – these are in the process of being stripped back to bare timber following which they’ll be clear varnished – they’ll look spectacular once completed, but there is a bit of work to do on them first. As usual the gate will be open from 8am. Regs, Lance 0405 945 465
