#DearHipHop Why is it that we love to claim titles like thug, pimp, gangsta, hustler, etc.....but ONLY in front of those who glorify and respect those terms. But when we are in front of people who see those as bad things, not only do we not lay claim to them, but we tend to defend against them. We go from bragging about being pimps and thugs on records, to accusing people of judging us for calling us thugs and pimps in articles and other media. Thats mad fake to me. If you wanna wear the title, then embrace everything that comes with it. If you a thug in front of da civilians with no guns, be a thug in front of da police that got guns like you. If you a pimp and a player in a room full of dudes, be one in a room full of women.
