Deathly Questions i dreamed of you and what it would feel like with your cold hands wrapped around me lulling me to an eternal sleep squeezing my soul out of it’s shell releasing me into the unknown i pondered on how I would feel just before and after my last breath would I see my lifeless frame as I ascend or descend to my resting place? will I see pearly white gates offering serenity or crimson red caverns filled with flames of torment and agony? you know the type of visions that are portrayed on TV and silver screens devil in red - angels in white… when you’ve accomplished your mission will I see my loved ones that have past before me, reuniting with them and having a family fellowship as they show me the ropes to my new existence? or….will they still remain as a memory of my mortal past? maybe, I will become a part of the sun moon and stars coexisting with the vastness of the universe given the job of propelling stars and meteors for people to wish upon -being an inspiration to my fellow poets- as they write underneath the midnight sky… maybe, just maybe i will be able to send sun kisses and moonlit hugs to my one and only true love as I dry her tears with rays from the sun and kiss her goodnight from the beams of the moon but, what if none of these things happen and I just disappear after my soul takes flight not being here nor there just a fragment of time that has come and gone having my life light blown out never to shine again.
