Depression? Depression, anxiety and mental unwellness - TopicsExpress

Depression? Depression, anxiety and mental unwellness can have biochemical (physical), emotional and spiritual causes (or contributing factors) Biochemical causes are often overlooked and go undiagnosed Emotions, behaviour and thoughts are just as biological as breathing and digestion. Depression, anxiety and even suicidal thoughts can be a consequence of an unhealthy or physically sick brain– rather than your unresolved emotions. This means that for some people no matter how much counseling or prayer they have their depression or mental distress may not go away unless the physical cause is treated Biochemical causes of mental unwellness include: Hormonal deficiencies (e.g. estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, adrenal) Nutrient deficiencies (e.g. zinc, vitamin B6, omega 3) Adverse reactions to food (e.g. Coeliac disease, food allergies, food sensitivities, low blood sugar) Toxic overload (e.g. heavy metals, pesticides, copper) Genetic variations (or other imbalances that run in the family) (e.g. MTHFR, Coeliac disease, food allergies, Pyroluria/Mauve factor) By discovering the cause of the depression or mental illness then the treatment can be specific and effective If there is a hormonal deficiency- herbs, or hormonal medications can be prescribed If there is a nutrient deficiency- the specific nutrient supplement can be given at the correct dose If there is a food allergy or sensitivity- an appropriate diet can be followed If there is a toxic overload- an avoidance plan and detoxification program can be followed Very happy to share this, Janelle and I used to work together, she really knows what she is doing!
