Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian says the US strategy for dealing with the ISIL terrorist group in Syria is still dubious. The senior Iranian diplomat says Washington is seeking to play games with the militant group in Iraq, while granting it the opportunity to continue its terrorist activities in Syria. He also denounced the US for turning the moderate opposition in Syria into armed insurgents, calling it a strategic mistake. The Iranian official described Washingtons move as yet another example of its double standard policy, which would stoke further insecurity and bolster terrorism. Amir Abdollahian said Iran does not trust the US in its so-called war on terror.
