Despite media reports of ‘rumours’ of looting in the area of the Bangor fire in the southern Flinders Ranges, police would like to assure the community there have been no reports of such behaviour. The officer in charge of the Yorke Mid North Local Service Area, Superintendent Scott Denny, reminded the community that if any reports were made they would be fully investigated and he urged anyone with information to come forward. “We believe this rumour began on Facebook, and would urge the community not to share such misinformation on social media,” he said.
